RATEN Annual Research Program “Developing National Technical Support and International Cooperation for Nuclear Energy“, developed under the Romanian Government Act 144/1999, modified by OUG 54/2013, approving the continuation and financing of the R & D activities, applications and technological engineering related to the national technical support for the nuclear energy field, provides the framework for the development research and development and technological engineering activities at RATEN.
The Annual Research Program supported by 18 Research, Development and Technological Engineering Programs (CDIT) responds to the RATEN strategic objectives by:
|I. Providing technical and scientific support for Cernavoda NPP, life time extension of Units 1 + U2, contributions to Units U3 + U4 Commissioning|
|II. Development of advanced reactors and fuel cycles (including contribution activities dedicated cooled fast reactors and implementation ALFRED demonstrator in Romania)||III. Ensuring nuclear safety and increasing operational performance of the TRIGA-ICN research reactor and developing techniques for the production of radioisotopes||IV. Supporting nuclear activity|
